Bible Verses About Babies
I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord.” And he worshiped the Lord there.
Hannah’s prayer for a baby is a tender portrait of what many women experience. Praying to God for one’s baby is a sometimes hard thing to do. I, Alexis, found myself praying for my baby’s life last summer, 2017, when the doctors gave her no chance of survival. You can read the miraculous story here: Lucy’s story. Whether your newborn baby had a difficult time getting here or not, the result of the baby’s life is because of God.
This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer and Creator: “I am the Lord, who made all things. I alone stretched out the heavens. Who was with me when I made the earth?
It is true, God has created everything, this new baby and even you. He is all-powerful and capable of all things. Remember this when things get tough, When the sleepless nights happen, that God is bigger and stronger than anything you face. while it may be difficult, it is not impossible, for the CReator and Sustainer is always with you.
You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
The Lord is the Creator of all things. Not only did He make this precious new baby, but He also made you. He is madly, deeply in love with both of you. As you have an insurmountable love for this new child, imagine how. much more God has love for you and this baby, who He created both. Being around a new baby puts us as a people in awe. We are utterly amazed at the intricacies and complexities of a new life, and it was all made with God’s hand. Praise God!
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
Every good gift is from God. This new baby is here because of God, God has gifted you with this precious piece of His creation. Celebrate this marvelous miracle and gift from God. Honor the responsibility with the choices you make and how you love this precious life. Thank God for the abundant gift and ask always to treasure this child even when days are hard.
I am convinced that my God will fully satisfy every need you have, for I have seen the abundant riches of glory revealed to me through the Anointed One, Jesus Christ!
This baby will be taken care of, as long as you stay tethered to God. Not only will God satisfy and fulfill the needs of your child, but also the needs of you the parent(s). Your sustainability and success rest on resting in Him. For a parent that is close to God raises healthy children.
More Bible Verses About Babies
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
The purity of a newborn baby is astonishing. Their innocence is a reminder of the way we were all meant to be when first created by God originally. A baby reminds us of what it looks like to be pure in heart, a virtue Jesus held in high value.
Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things.
We cannot understand everything, in fact in the grand scheme of things, we understand every little. This is so important to remember as a Christian and a parent of a new baby, things will be tough, confusing, and draining, but you’re not alone. The God of all of creation is with you and equipping you for this new adventure. While you may not be able to see how you will get past the sleepless nights or the potential trials you face, God can and He will guide you through. A good parent isn’t one who never faces weakness, a good parent is one who relies utterly on God.
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.
In context, God is speaking about the prophecy of calling Jeremiah to be a prophet. While this verse is speaking to that, it also is speaking to us today, for we are all children of God, all called by Him, Matthew 28:18-20, 1 John 3:1. God has always known all of us before we were born, and it is true for this new baby. God is with this child and his hand over its life. It has been set apart, your duty as the guardian of this precious baby is to foster and grow that calling. Show this child what God’s love looks like through your words and actions, not just in the early days but all of your days.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
It is through Christ we have life, not only life, but life that is full of freedom, purpose, and joy. When we walk with Christ and teach our children through our actions and words, their life becomes richer and fuller. Stay close to God and show His abundant love to your little baby always.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.
Children equip us for dealing with other areas of life. When you become a parent, you begin to see the world differently. You also gain a resolve and determination that you might not have known was inside you, providing you the tools to deal with many other challenges. It’s God’s good intention that our families be the center of our life, and build us up for other trials.
Bible Verses About Babies
Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.
As if the preciousness of a baby isn’t apparent enough, we only need to remember that God Himself once took on the form of an innocent, humble baby. Made in the image of God, each child is valuable and important – because God would not have taken on the form of anything that wasn’t the most important of His creation.
So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
The baby you love and care for is a direct image of God. God not only created this baby, but He also infused His image into this child, as well as you. This baby bears the image of Christ and this is a true testimony of God’s love for His creation.
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
The height of His creative works, each baby represents a new rendition of God’s most important work.
Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.
Children are a gift from God. They are pure innocence and filled with life and hope. I, Alexis, remember looking at my son while he was a newborn wondering who he would become, what he would be like. I felt the presence of God so deeply with both of my newborns. It is because they are a blessing, while it can be trying to be a parent, it is an incredible honor and the most impactful ministry I could ever do. I am endlessly blessed by my two miracles, I hope you too feel the blessing from God through your child(ren).
The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life.
God is the creator and sustainer of life. Each breath that we take is a gift from God. Each baby enters alongside the story of humanity and God’s desire to bring people to Him. Raising a child in the goodness of God’s blessing shows them the nature of God and how much He loves them.
Bible Verses About Babies
You, beloved, are worth so much more than a whole flock of sparrows. God knows everything about you, even the number of hairs on your head. So do not fear.
God is so deeply invested in His creation that He even knows the number of hairs on each of our heads, your newborn’s as well. Our God is so good, loving, and caring that He cares immeasurably for us. All is well when we remember just who God is and how he loves us.
He supplies life and breath and all things to every living being. He doesn’t lack a thing that we mortals could supply for him, for he has all things and everything he needs.
According to Colossians 1:15-20, Jesus is the sustainer of the universe and everything in it. Each new life shows us the mercy and provision of Christ in our lives.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Remembering this verse is crucial for the success of any parent. There will be tough, scary, and long days. When in the midst of a sleep regression, temper tantrum, or even a diagnosis, remembering that God is not only with you and your child, but goes ahead of you. He is actually in the future. Living the truth of this Scripture can help bring peace and trust in times of uncertainty and difficulty that comes with any child.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Jesus’ invitation here is to take whatever burden you have and replace it with His way of life. This way of life is filled with joy, love, faithfulness, goodness, self-control, peace, patience, kindness, and gentleness. The journey of being a parent is an adventurous one, exciting and a bit scary. But you are not alone with this newborn baby. You have the King of kings with you to help you with anything and everything. Amen to that reality!
May the Lord cause you to flourish, both you and your children.
And finally, we end our Bible verse about babies with this beautiful blessing. May the Lord cause you and your baby to flourish. May you all know His love intimately all of your days. May this new adventure you are on be filled with God’s gracious Fruit. And may all that you do be done to the glory of God. Congrats on your new blessing, we rejoice with you!
