Bible Verses About Babies
6.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Reflection
The purity of a newborn baby is astonishing. Their innocence is a reminder of the way we were all meant to be when first created by God originally. A baby reminds us of what it looks like to be pure in heart, a virtue Jesus held in high value.
7.
Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things.
Reflection
We cannot understand everything, in fact in the grand scheme of things, we understand every little. This is so important to remember as a Christian and a parent of a new baby, things will be tough, confusing, and draining, but you’re not alone. The God of all of creation is with you and equipping you for this new adventure. While you may not be able to see how you will get past the sleepless nights or the potential trials you face, God can and He will guide you through. A good parent isn’t one who never faces weakness, a good parent is one who relies utterly on God.
8.
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.
Reflection
In context, God is speaking about the prophecy of calling Jeremiah to be a prophet. While this verse is speaking to that, it also is speaking to us today, for we are all children of God, all called by Him, Matthew 28:18-20, 1 John 3:1. God has always known all of us before we were born, and it is true for this new baby. God is with this child and his hand over its life. It has been set apart, your duty as the guardian of this precious baby is to foster and grow that calling. Show this child what God’s love looks like through your words and actions, not just in the early days but all of your days.
9.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Reflection
It is through Christ we have life, not only life, but life that is full of freedom, purpose, and joy. When we walk with Christ and teach our children through our actions and words, their life becomes richer and fuller. Stay close to God and show His abundant love to your little baby always.
10.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.
Reflection
Children equip us for dealing with other areas of life. When you become a parent, you begin to see the world differently. You also gain a resolve and determination that you might not have known was inside you, providing you the tools to deal with many other challenges. It’s God’s good intention that our families be the center of our life, and build us up for other trials.
