11. “No Longer Slaves” by Bethel Music
My sister sent me this song this summer and told me she felt this was for me and how right she was! The overall message of this song is there is nothing to fear, for we are children of God. The verse that chokes me up every time is:
“You split the sea so I can walk right through it.” The biblical imagery is outstanding. When you are up against the impossible, like Moses and God’s people, God will split the sea so you can walk right through it, because you are a child of God.
12. “I Am” by Crowder
This song is a great rally song! Having God at the center of your life, especially your storm is where you gain strength. This song will amp you up for any battle!

13. “Break Every Chain” by Jesus Culture
This is an amazingly powerful song. I have been so moved by this song and it has become an anthem for me in my walk with Jesus.

14. “King Of My Heart” by Sarah & John McMillan
Allow yourself the opportunity to have the truth of God wash over you. God never lets us down. Often times we think when prayers do not go the way we hoped, that God has left us. But that is never the case. God is always good and brings great light out of darkness. This song is a great anthem for rallying your heart around how good God truly is.

15. “Oceans” by Hillsong United
And finally, we end with “Oceans”, which is probably the most important Christian worship song in my life. When I first heard this song in 2014, I was awestruck. This song became my prayer – I wanted the life described in its lyrics. This song encapsulated the desire I have had for decades to be more like Jesus. “Oceans” helped prepare me for my major battle this summer, and God has used this song to teach me how to not drown in a storm, but thrive in the midst of it instead. May you too be blessed by this song, and may it also become your prayer.
