I have been married since 2008 and I can attest: we can never pray for our husbands enough. It helps keep our marriages healthy and rooted in God. Prayer for my husband is something that I should be always doing (I’m a work in progress), and so should you! It helps us see our hubby in fresh eyes. I dedicate this post to my spouse, Aaron, for many of these prayers are from my heart to God for you and our marriage.
But these prayers are not just for my husband, but for yours too! They are great for any marriage because we can never turn to God enough, can we?

God,
I pray that my husband grows closer to You, that his worth, identity, and security come only from You. Amen.

God,
I want my husband to open up more and let me in his thoughts and feelings. I know its hard for him. God, is there a creative way that we could better communicate? Can you bring forth new, fresh ideas for us to connect in deep and meaningful ways? Amen.

Lord,
May the things that haunt my husband from the past be claimed and won in Your name. He has past hurts, as do I, and they hold him back to a better life a life filled with your Fruit. I ask that You heal him from the things that have hurt him all the way back to childhood. I know Lord, you are beyond time and can restore anything. I call on that power. Amen.

I pray that You show my husband what it means to be like You. Jesus, You are the perfect example of what a true man looks like and I ask that You bring that reality to my husband. Grow in him the deeper worth and connection to You, for that is the only way to live in freedom. Amen.

Lord,
I don’t love my husband the way that I should. I fall short constantly. I get narrow-sighted and I put my needs and my desires before him. Help me God to love him unconditionally, the way that You love me. Amen.
