A Teacher’s Prayer
Hello and welcome! I just wanted to say thank you for your service to enriching kids lives. Truly, you are helping shape the world. If it were not for some teachers in my life, I would not be where I am today.
I wanted to create this prayer for a teacher because I wanted to give you something that can equip you for your ministry, for what you are doing is a ministry. Even though you may not be in a Christian setting, you are still God’s light to these kids. Your actions and words matter and shape them.
Jesus loved kids and tells us in Matthew 9:14
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (NIV)
So, thank you for your dedication to the enrichment of young lives, the youth and children’s minister in me is rejoicing over your career choice! I hope that this teacher’s prayer helps you become a strong and better teacher by depending on God’s strength and love that is always available to you!

A Teacher’s Prayer
God,
I have a desire to help children grow, develop, and learn. Kids are filled with hope, awe, and wonder and they fill me up, but God, this job is hard sometimes. kids will often disrespect me and make my job Difficult. In those moments, help me to have the sight to step back, take a breath and see deeper things that may be going on. help me to love these kids like you’ve loved the little children. help me to have wisdom and discernment that can only come from you. God, will you please be the source of my strength for this important job I have? empower me in this ministry of teaching that I have been called to by you. I am a very important person to the kids I teach and I want to be a shining example of you to them, through my actions, words, and even my inner thoughts. help me to take on your strength and love as the source of my support in the classroom. Equip me to be an even better teacher. Amen.
